Run of Show, aka show flow or Cue Sheet, lets you plan exactly what is going to happen on stage. Building a run of show is the only way you can ensure no detail is missed and that you have all the required assets for a successfull show
Once you have built your run of show in Joi you can share as a URL
Always up to date
Because it is a URL any changes made will automaticaly show - no version control issues and easy to make changes on the fly
Active links
Joi has a unique asset management system allowing you to have active links to content for the show - PPT, videos etc are easy to share
The Joi program builder is quick and easy to use, much quicker than spreadsheets
Sessions and Out of Sessions
The run of show is made up of sections. Every session and out of session has a section. So the order you place the sessions and out of sessions will be the order they appear in the run of show.
Move a session and it will move in the run of show [along with all the detail]
You can access the run of show for a specific session via the manage session window [open by clicking on the session]
Or you can access the run of show in the production tab
This will give you a view of the full run of show for a specific room / location
Time
The time column displays the accumulated durations. It's automated so you don't have to do the math! This way you can check how long each section will run for and make sure it works with the program
Action
Enter what will happen ie presnter to stage etc
Duration
Enter how long the action will take place - ie play video, enter how long the video will play for
Cue Point
Enter how the cue will be triggered ie a verbal cue from the presenter to play a video
You can edit the names of cue columns, add new and re-order
Click ADD CUE in the column to add cues specific to that column
Use assets if you want to add a link to a specific item like a PPT presentation, video or an audio sting
The asset pop will show the event asset list
If you do not have the required asset simply create new. This will then appear in the asset list so you can then manage the creation of the asset
You can create assets in the room locations, sessions, activities, run of show or straight in the asset list
Once created you can manage the production of the asset: Allocate responsibility and due date, add tasks and add to budget.
In the asset table you can see at a glance the status of your assets, what's ready, what is still to do
Out of sessions are handy for those sequences that you do not show in the program, like pre show or in-between sessions
You can add an out of session anywhere you want in the program
If you have created a cue sequence that will repeat [common in awards ceremonies] then you can copy that sequence into another session or out of session
You can switch between edit mode and view mode
View mode removes the action buttons and makes it easier to read the cue sheet but the links to assets are still accessible
When it comes to sharing your run of show it could not be easier. Simply toggle on share and then copy the URL or email
If sessions move
If a session is moved in a program then the session will also move in the run of show
Assets
If an asset is updated, ie a new link because the video has changed, then the run of show will automatically update
On the day
If you have shared the run of show with all the AV ops and there is a change - no problem, because the URL will automatically update
